"Raise Autism Awareness in Underserved Populations" is one of more than 1,000 project submissions in American Express' Members Project, which aims to unite American Express card members behind one cause. Autism Speaks is the "Fulfilling Organization" for this project, which proposes to increase autism awareness in
underserved populations using tailored materials (i.e. multi-lingual, culturally sensitive) to address the many barriers to services and diagnosis that families often face in rural or urban areas. American Express will donate up to $1.5 million to fund the winning project.
