Eva Erickson, a 24-year-old Ph.D. candidate from Eagan, Minnesota, is currently competing on Season 48 of Survivor while pursuing her doctorate in engineering fluid and thermal science at Brown University. Diagnosed with autism at a young age, she has defied expectations in both academics and athletics, crediting hockey as a key part of her autism therapy. She was the first and only woman to play on Georgia Tech's men's hockey team and now serves as the captain of Brown’s club hockey team while also working as a referee. On Survivor, Erickson hopes to challenge stereotypes about autism and inspire others with her resilience, competitiveness, and determination.
