Discovery Museum
177 Main street

Come join in all the fun and explore the accessible Discovery Museum during this free evening event especially for families with children with disabilities. Your family can play, explore, experiment, and imagine together while we are closed to the general public. Any family who can benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome at this event; a medical diagnosis is not required.

Space is limited, and registration is required.

ASL interpretation may be available upon request; please indicate on the registration form if you would like interpretation at the event. Mask exemption requests must also be requested through the registration form, and with an email to Shilpa Kulkarni at skulkarni@discoveryacton.org.

You can prepare for your visit by reviewing our Discovery Museum Story Guide, which includes a sensory guide. It is available on our website or you can request it at our Admissions Desk. You might also visit the Exhibits section of our website and review our Tips for Visiting. You can borrow noise-reducing headphones and a portable step stool for easier access to exhibits at the Admissions desk.

Our Autism Response Team (ART) is specially trained to connect people with autism, their families, and caretakers to information, tools, and resources.
