Our actors, technicians and orchestra members have been working diligently for the past few months to ready this special performance. They have been researching the types of modifications needed, talking with us and with each other about specific moments of the play and parts of performance or technical operation, and learning a great deal about autism in general. It is our hope that they gain a better understanding of the autism community and can in turn make a greater positive impact at their school, in their community and in their future.

Overall, our goal for this performance is to create an experience for parents, caregivers and our friends with sensory needs to enjoy. Often the autism community is left out of social events, feeling either unwelcome or unable to attend due to their individual needs and concerns. It is our hope that parents will feel comfortable bringing their children to experience live theatre in an environment that has been carefully modified to cater specifically to them and their needs. We also encourage caregivers who take care of older individuals to attend as well. We are very much looking forward to this experience.

Our Autism Response Team (ART) is specially trained to connect people with autism, their families, and caretakers to information, tools, and resources.
