April 20, 2020 at 3:00 pm - April 20, 2020 at 4:30 pm

United States

April 20, 2020 at 3:00-4:30pm Eastern Time

Join us to gain an understanding of why autism research matters and the importance of advocating for additional investment in autism research and services, especially in the context of our current political and public health environment. While most people know that investing in research is a positive undertaking, making the connection between how research translates into real-life changes is often more challenging. This panel will feature researchers and parents who not only will talk about the important research they are engaged in but also discuss how it makes an impact on a day-to-day basis.

Moderator: Stuart Spielman, Senior Vice President of Advocacy, Autism Speaks

Guest Speakers:

  • Dr. Tom Frazier, Professor of Psychology at John Carroll University and former Chief Science Officer, Autism Speaks
  • Dr. Beth Malow, Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics and Director of Vanderbilt Sleep Disorders Division, Vanderbilt University Medical Center
  • Angelica Salinas, MS, CRN, Research Program Manager at the Wisconsin Surveillance of Autism and other Developmental Disabilities System, University of Wisconsin-Madison
