How to add Autism Speaks to your estate plans

Many of our donors want to help ensure every person with autism lives their best life possible today and in the future, through planned giving that will leave a lasting impact. Here are a few of the ways you may consider adding Autism Speaks into your estate plan.

Wills and Living Trusts

A simple, flexible and versatile way to ensure Autism Speaks can continue our life-enhancing work in the future is making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a charitable bequest. By including a bequest to Autism Speaks in your will or living trust, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with autism and their families for years to come.

This flexible gift option can be revised at any time, and can be made as a specific amount or a percentage of your estate – allowing you to also take care of your family. In addition, your gift entitles your estate to an unlimited federal estate tax charitable deduction.

Stocks, Bonds and Securities

Donating stocks or other types of securities is simple and offers you potential tax benefits.

Beneficiary Designation

Did you know you can name Autism Speaks as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, an individual retirement account (IRA) or even a checking or savings account? You can include multiple beneficiaries and change the designation at any time.

Real Estate

A gift of real estate will be extremely meaningful to Autism Speaks – and it can benefit you as well. Many donations of real estate qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction.

Feel free to contact our Leadership Giving team at (646)-385-8500 ext. 58699 or email ImagineWhatCanBe@AutismSpeaks.org to review your estate planning options.

And of course, consult your tax advisor or attorney to learn how including Autism Speaks in your estate plan can be of benefit to you and your family.
