Meet Alan

Alan, 34

Information is power. The more we know about a condition and root cause, the better we can prepare for Alan’s future.

To celebrate World Autism Month, we are highlighting each our of mission objectives in a series of five virtual profiles. Each week in April, we will share meaningful conversations with families and individuals in the autism community.

This week, we are introducing you to Alan and his father Barry. Alan, a 34-year-old on the spectrum, has experienced many challenges throughout his life, but his family’s commitment to finding him the support he needs has helped him access the resources to thrive.

The story shared above represents the experience, views and perspectives of the individual(s) highlighted. We aim to share stories across the spectrum and throughout the life span, but the information provided on our website is not a recommendation, referral or endorsement of any resource, therapeutic method, or service provider and does not replace the advice of medical, legal or educational professionals.
